Date: Two X 2 Hour sessions on April 3rd & 5th, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm (EST).
Productivity, performance, and quality are important issues in business today. This module looks at the factors of production and how they can be affected by the performance improvement processes of Total Quality Management and Lean Manufacturing.
Successful completion of this module will enable the learner to:
- Examine the impact that a performance improvement system can have on an organization’s level of
- efficiency and effectiveness.
- Discuss the history of Performance Improvement and determine the benefits and drawbacks of
- implementing such a system in an organization.
- Distinguish between efficiency and effectiveness.
- Present the major characteristics of one or more well-accepted performance improvement systems, outlining the commonalities and differences between approaches.
- Review a series of improvement tools, particularly designed for the aviation sector.
- Examine the philosophy of lean manufacturing and associated methods to reduce waste and improve efficiencies
